Laser scanning

Laser scanning can now be used as a technique to rapidly collect thousands of data points over the surface of a component.

Baty have now integrated a Through The Lens (TTL) confocal laser that directly drives our CNC system.

The result is rapid non-contact scanning with auto part following. Simply set the scanning area and Venture's Z-axis will track the undulations of the part automatically. The resulting data point cloud can then be exported for 3D modelling or comparison to a master.

The laser can also be used as an extremely accurate and fast Z-axis probe to take simple measurements for heights and planes.
